A Powerful, Safer-To-Use Pickling Paste.
Many pickling processes for stainless steel result in the production of hazardous nitric fumes. We’ve developed ONE Technology to address this issue, introducing a unique, low-fuming pickling paste that reduces toxic nitric fumes by 50%.
Standard applications
This pickling paste restores stainless steel surfaces that have suffered damage during fabrication processes like welding, forming, cutting, and blasting. It eliminates weld oxides, the underlying chromium-depleted layer, and other defects that can lead to local corrosion. Avesta RedOne™ Pickling Paste 140, a stronger alternative, is ideal for more challenging brush pickling tasks on welds and smaller surfaces, particularly for high-alloyed steel grades and lower-temperature applications. For standard applications, we recommend the low-fuming Avesta BlueOne™ Pickling Paste 130.

Packaging
Avesta RedOne™ Pickling Paste 140 is available in 2.4kg and 13kg polyethylene bottles. The availability of various package sizes may vary by market. All packaging materials comply with UN regulations for hazardous goods.
Storage
For proper storage, keep Avesta RedOne™ Pickling Paste 140 indoors at room temperature. Containers should remain securely closed, in an upright position, and inaccessible to unauthorized individuals. The product is perishable and should not be stored longer than necessary. If the gel undergoes decomposition during storage, it must be stirred before use. Its maximum shelf life is two years when stored at room temperature. Be cautious of exposure to higher temperatures (>35°C) as it may harm the product and reduce its shelf life.
